About the Hike

The beauty of Sinanitsa Peak and the surrounding area is difficult to put into words. The impressive marble ridge rising steeply above Sinanitsa Lake creates one of the most spectacular landscapes in the Bulgarian mountains and has long been a favorite destination for hikers, photographers, and nature lovers.

The route passes by Muratovo Lake and Banderishka Porta Pass, and from the very beginning we will be surrounded by some of Pirin’s most beautiful peaks. After crossing Banderishka Porta, we will enjoy views of the picturesque Georgiyski Lakes before continuing towards Sinanishka Porta Pass and, from there, to the stunning Momin Peak and Mount Sinanitsa. The panorama from the summit towards Vihren and the Marble Ridge is truly breathtaking, while Sinanitsa Lake and the mountain hut nestled below look as if they belong on a postcard.

Reaching the summit in a single day from Vihren Hut requires very good physical fitness and some prior hiking experience in Pirin or another alpine mountain range. The elevation gain and route length, combined with the rocky terrain, make for a long but exceptionally rewarding and memorable day in the mountains.
